Crafting the future in Ras Al Khaimah

Having completed the Art Consulting for the Crowne Plaza, Jeddah in 2021, the Dubai based IHG design team introduced us to the owner of the region’s flagship Intercontinental Hotel.

The architects had a very clear vision for the art but were seeking expertise to turn it into reality. The Artstory team set about finding exceptional artists and craftspeople to partner with on a number of key locations.

Our team curated a bespoke art collection, oversaw the final design and making of each individual piece. We handcrafted sculptures from ceramic, wicker, stone and rope. The Artstory Studio artists created a sculptural blue ceramic wall installation to further elevate the presidential suite.

One of our favourite pieces was created by Dutch artist, Peter Gentenaar, and suspended in prime position in the hotel reception. Its light paper structure and subtle detailing allow it to transform with the changing natural light of the day.
